Our family safari holidays take place in Tanzania , East Africa. It offers a great mix of African adventure, magnificent wildlife, unique accommodation, fascinating and fun cultural exchanges and the tropical spice island of Zanzibar to round off a perfect family adventure holiday to Africa.

Itineraries – carefully designed to avoid unnecessary lengthy travelling. We include as much as possible but ensure Day 1 is a relaxing day and try to spend 2 nights at each location (to avoid packing/ re-packing!).
Accommodation – chosen for authenticity as well as location. At Saadani we stay in en suite thatched stilted huts fabulously located right on the beach. In the Serengeti the experience of open bush camping far outweighs the basic facilities. And at Lake Natron you may even get your own shower and toilet tent!
Tour Leaders – our leaders are carefully chosen to engage and stimulate young people. We only use local leaders because they will have in-depth local knowledge and be passionate about African wildlife and culture.

In addition, the lodge we use at Saadani is home to an amazing elephant conservation project which guests are encouraged to get involved with. We also support Mkwaja Primary School, which you will have the opportunity to visit on Safari & Spice.
Safari & Spice tour
Big game, stunning Indian Ocean beaches and the true African bush - this family safari holiday gives you the best of Tanzania. At Mikumi National Parkyou can spot wallowing hippo, elephant, buffalo and sausage trees! You then transfer to the coast and your beautifully situated beach safari camp, bordering the little visited Saadani Game Reserve. Here you may take a walking safari which offers close encounters with big game and a boat safari trip past hippo, crocodile and colobus monkeys.
You may also visit the nearby school which is a great place to interact with locals and an impromptu football match often takes place! The trip ends on the exotic island of Zanzibar where you can relax by the hotel pool and enjoy cultural and historical Stone Town.
Rift Valley Adventure tour
The ultimate Africa family safari with game drives in some of the world's greatest game reserves, using both open bush and comfortable fixed tent safari camps (with full sized beds!). Journey through Masai lands to the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, home to 30,000 resident animals. Encounters with animals are frequent and it is one of the best places to see the endangered black rhino.
The Serengeti is an incomparable park with lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, wildebeest, zebra and giraffe. At Lake Natron enjoy spectacular flocks of flamingos, therapeutic mudbaths, swimming in natural pools or showering beneath beautiful waterfalls.
