East Africa safaris and beach holidays
Many of our East Africa safari adventures visit the great game parks of Kenya and Tanzania and also spend a few days relaxing on the Indian Ocean beaches of Zanzibar. This exotic spice island can also be visited in its own right on our Zanzibar Revealed tour which departs daily throughout the year and can also be added to ANY of our Africa adventure holidays.
Southern Africa safaris and beach holidays
Mozambique is known as a tropical beach paradise. Its waters are home to whale sharks, dolphins, sea turtles and manta rays. You can snorkel and scuba-dive in the Indian Ocean waters or just chill out on Tofo Beach - a stunning eight-kilometre stretch of sandy beach, on our adventure tours here. Our adventure holidays to Namibia include a stop at Swakopmund, the country's premier coastal resort where you can try quad biking, sandboarding and dune carting. South Africa is renowned for its great beaches – particularly those on the Cape Peninsula, around Cape Town and along the Garden Route. Many of our overland expeditions start or end in Cape Town so why not arrive early or extend your stay and enjoy the vast sandy expanses found here.
Overland Expeditions including safaris and beach
Many of our overland expeditions to Africa include time on the beach. This may be concentrated on East Africa visiting the great wildlife parks of Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda, ending on the beaches of Zanzibar or a much longer adventure tour starting in South Africa and travelling through Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Malawi before continuing to East Africa and Zanzibar. The latter tours stop for a few days on the shores of Lake Malawi, the third largest and second deepest in Africa and home to more species of fish than any other lake in the world. It is a good place to partake in a range of optional activities such as snorkelling and diving.
Zanzibar Revealed
A relaxing 6 day beach holiday to Tanzania. Explore the labyrinth of alleyways in Stone Town, wander past Arabic-style houses and lose yourself in the markets, accompanied by the haunting sound of the muezzin calling the faithful to prayer. Take a spice tour, visit the Slave Museum and spot Giant Tortoise on Prison Island. At night, choose from a smorgasbord of seafood at the colourful street stalls of the night market.
