The main reason our overland adventure tours visit Gambia is for the incredible flora and fauna found at Kiang West National Park, containing some of the largest and most diverse wildlife in the region.
Although it is for the beaches that most tourists head to this English-speaking former British colony, we prefer the more natural appeal of Kiang West with its Guinea savannah, extensive stretches of mangrove creeks and tidal creeks. Its varied landscapes attract crocodile, warthog, monkeys, leopards, hyenas and dolphins as well as over 290 species of birds.
