Guatemala Reviews
Review 1
What was the most memorable part of your tour?
Guatemala - I loved it!
How would you rate the tour leaders?
Great. Knew all the right stuff, very enthusiastic, even at stupid-o'clock in the morning!
What advice would you give to other travellers?
Book with ImTrav! This was the second trip I've done with you and I'm planning another one later this year and recommending you to all my friends. It's the lazy person's way to travel 'properly' without lifting a finger in organising.

What was the most memorable part of your tour?
Sunset at tikal
How would you rate the tour leaders?
some of the best I've ever had
What advice would you give to other travellers?
I was looking for a tour company that gave the right balance between a good holiday and some genuine travelling. In the past I've used companies that have been far too tourist orientated and have been left feeling dissapointed. I have also used rough and ready tour operaters where you find yourself sleeping in some real hell holes, drinking yourself into oblivion each night. Imaginative traveller had a good mix of travellers from a variety of countries which is always nice. They were also a good range of ages making sure that everyone found someone they had something in common with. With this company you can do as little or as much as you like with the group its up to you, but it is really chilled with a real backpackers feeling .

What was the most memorable part of your tour?
1. Tikal at sunset after a three day trek through the jungle. 2. Snorkelling over the barrier reef near Caye Caulker. 3. Standing on the edge of a lava flow on one of the volcanoes above Antigua.
How would you rate the tour leaders?
Excellent. Able to pitch the tour to different people in the group to suit their different interests.
Do you feel your holiday benefited local people?
I hope so.
Do you feel that you got under the skin of a country?
To some extent - but three countries in two weeks is a bit fast to really get well acquainted with each of them individually. However, the mix of adventure tourism, historical sites, beautiful scenery, colourful cultural locations, relaxed days on a beach and snorkelling over a reef gave a very good flavour of what the region has to offer.
What advice would you give to other travellers?
*Good footwear for the jungle hike (particularly when it's wet) and strong mosquito repellant are a must. *If you plan to go up to the lava flows on the volcano buy marshmallows in the supermarket around the corner from the hotel in Antigua and roast them on the sticks the villagers will lend you. *Watch a few episode of "The Mysterious Cities of Gold"" before leaving home to get yourself in the mood!"

Pictures sent in from various groups from the Central American Adventure tour!
While leading tours in the north of Central America I had some really fantastic groups, and they took some great pictures of the countries. I hope you all enjoy!
