Every day was memorable as each day was action packed and exciting. Bali had a lot of highlights and we learnt so much about the culture from our local guide. I would say the highlights of the trip were, climbing Rinjani, The Panoramic walk in Lombok and Snorkelling in Gilli!
Our tour leader was excellent. He was very friendly, patient and approachable. He did his best to answer everybody's questions and was always warm! It was great having a local guide as he was able to give us first hand information about the way of life in Bali.
I would advise people to make sure they are aware of additional costs during the trip such as tipping, airport taxes and paying for a visitors visa. These are additional things thgat you don't necessarily think of when budgeting for the trip

My wife and I are considering the Legends of Komodo trip in July. I have read the information, but think we are borderline in terms of conditioning to do it. We are roughly 60 and not in great shape, but we get by. We went on the Jewels of Egypt trip in 2007, but the most strenuous thing on it was the optional Mt. Sinai climb, which we did not do. How strenuous is this tour? And one question: I read that a sleeping bag is required. Is that for the night on the boat? If not, when?
I'm thinking of bookin this trip. Is anyone already booked up on this trip - would be good to know a bit about the group. Also, has anyone been on this trip? would you recommend it? Emma
Hi My friend and I were hoping to hear from anyone who had been on the Bali and Lombok Explored tour. We particularly wanted to find out about the Gunung Rinjani trek and how strenuous it is. We also wondered what season of sleeping bag to take (we are going in July). We would be grateful for any info on the tour and would also love to hear from anybody else going (have seen a post from two people already). Thanks in anticipation. Lyn and Kate
I'm thinking about the trip into papau on the 5th of august. I have two questions - one, how fit do you actually have to be for this trip, and is any one else booked on it?
