There were so many memorable acitivties and sceneries, to name a few – Trekking to World’s end and the walk down through the hill plantations – Climbing the Sigiriya rock fortress – Cycling through the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa – Home cooking evening, helping out making delicious Sri Lankan food

What Did You Think Of Your Tour Leader?

It was great to have a local guide who was passionate about his country. He had a very good understanding of the country and a good connection to the local people and was happy to share his knowledge with us. I also appreciated that the listened to our own suggestions of things to see to suit our individual interests.

What Advice Would You Give To Other Travellers?

Choose this trip to Sri Lanka for a diverse mix of culture, history and amazing scenery and a chance to taste delicious local food and meet the friendly locals.

Excellent. He took every opportunity to show us the real Sri Lanka. Nothing was too much trouble and he made organising 16 people and keeping them safe look effortless.

Do You Feel Your Holiday Benefited Local People?

Absolutelyl we ate in local truck stops, reataurants and familiy homes. Supporting the local people with souvenir purchases.

Do You Feel That You Got Under The Skin Of A Country?

100%. The guide Sampath made that possible by going out of his way to ensure we experienced the way of life of the locals
