We are concerned about our trip that now it appears will end in Livingstone rather than Victoria Falls. Our tourist agent is strongly advising that we get our visa for entry into Zambia before we leave Canada. Are you also advising this? I understand there have been recent changes to visa policies in Zambia. The travel agent is not aware of this
We had arranged a flight back to Johannesburg from Victoria Falls prior to the itinarary change. We are still hoping to make this flight.

Zambian visas for Canadians
Hello Salal,
Thank you for posting on the forum. We do advise that people get their Zambian visas in advance of travel, for peace of mind and knowing you will get into the country.
We are unable to be complete visa specialists due to the range of countries we visit, and the vast variation of nationalities that book on our trips, however we do include some guidance in our trip dossiers.
For trips that now end in Zambia rather than Victoria Falls we do recommend a Zambian visa is obtained in advance.
I have also checked the Canadian travel reports for you, as these are put together by the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs, and this is what it says:
It is the sole prerogative of each country to determine who is allowed to enter. All countries have special requirements for persons intending to reside for extended periods (usually more than 90 days) or who plan to work, study, or engage in non-tourist activities. To obtain information on specific entry requirements, contact the nearest diplomatic or consular office of the country or countries to be visited. Violations of entry and exit requirements may result in serious penalties.
The following information on entry and exit requirements has been confirmed with the Zambian authorities. However, these requirements are subject to change at any time. It is the traveller's responsibility to check with the Embassy for the Republic of Zambia and its consulates for up-to-date information.
A valid Canadian passport is required for Canadians intending to visit Zambia. The passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your expected departure from the country. Canadians must also be in possession of a visa. Visas can be obtained at ports of entry. Persons overstaying their visa may be subject to imprisonment or deportation.
Tourist Visa: Required
Business Visa: Required
Student Visa: Required
Evidence of a yellow fever vaccination is recommended.
An airport tax is charged upon departure.
