Hi thinking about doing the capetown to naqirobi trip or nairobi to capetown , does anyone have any recomendations on which around to do it ? But most of all whats a good time of year for this as I understand there can be rainy seasons in the east africa part of the trip ? any advice would be much appreciated thanks

Re: capetown to nairobi
Hi Unihazard,
Thanks for your questions.
I don't think it makes a lot of difference which direction you travel in. The tour actually runs in both directions to cope with a high demand AND so that the 4x4 vehicle can travel back and forth with travellers on, to keep costs down to a minimum.
Because you cover a great distance whilst on this tour you are likely to encounter varied weather regardless of the time of year but on the whole December to March is considered the best time to head to Kenya whilst September and April are considered the best times to head to South Africa. December to March is not a bad time to head to South Africa but the weather will be hotter than in the rest of the year.
I hope this helps?
Regards,
Brendan
