Hi There,

I'm new to this whole thing and am just curious how a few things work.

I am interested in a number of the African tours but am unclear if I have to find my own way to London and then get to Africa that way by the tour company or do I find my own way to my tour start point??

I live in Canada and obviously am looking for the most economical way possible to get overseas.

Does the tour price listed include transfers to the start point and to return back??

I'd appreciate ANY info you can give me.

Thanks a lot.

Sincerely,
Girlcanuk

Re: Flight to London or Africa??

Hello Girlcanuk,

I am a fellow Ottawan and have travelled with ImTrav on two occasions (Egypt and Morocco). It is the traveler's responsibitly to get herself to the meeting point hotel. I personally have flown with AirFrance out of Montreal (they offer a shuttle service from Ottawa) both times. I find AirFrance to have the best fares and also the best flight schedules.

If you provide your travel agent with your flight details, I believe it is minimum (45) days before your tour (ImTrav can confirm this) ImTrav will arrange for a pick up from the airport to your meeting point hotel. ImTrav does not provide a "return" transfer at the end of your tour but in all probability you will have fellow tour mates heading home at or around the same time and you can share a taxi to the airport.

If you have ANY more questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

cheers,
SG [Big Grin]

Re: Flight to London or Africa??

Dear Girlcanuk,

Thank you for your post (and thanks for the reply!). Just to reiterate what Sassygirl has said, we don't include international flights in the tour price, so you need to either find your own flights or your travel agent can assist with this.

As you are in Canada you will need to book with Trek Escapes (adventures@trekholidays.com) and they will be able to help you with flight bookings if you ask.

We include arrival transfers in most of our destinations but not ALL of our African tours, although if one is not included you can choose to book a paid transfer, or make your own way.

I hope this helps, but if you have further questions please don't hesitate to ask us.
