i'm a hk girl and planning to travel w/2 good fds (2 man)in Cape Town, Johannesburg etc in this Oct 08.
what i searched fr the internet is these cities "have recently been hit by a wave of xe phobic violence as mobs of locals roam the city centre and surrounding townships in search of foreign refugees and migrants. Dozens of people have been killed, and the government has deployed the army to contain the disturbances. Travellers should steer well clear of any street clashes."
i'm doubt and worry whether we should go ahead or stop.
any comment?

We have not had to amend any of our tours that operate in South Africa due to the recent goings-on. We monitor the advice from the UK Foreign Office and amend our tours accordingly.
You could always get in touch with the South African embassy or your Foreign Office to see what they advise.
