We're going to Botswana this week on trip KTDA. Any news on the conditions in Livingstone when we arrive? The border crossing to Botswana could be difficult, according to today's newspaper.
Thanks

Re: KTDA to Botswana
Hi
Sorry for the delay in replying, as far we are aware there are no problems relating to the start of your tour. Your tour starts in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe not Livingston in Zambia.
I hope that this helps and have a lovely trip!
Re: KTDA to Botswana
We're back from the Botswana trip and I wanted to comment on Vic Falls. We didn't get visas until we arrived (bad advice) so had to queue for an hour, some in hot sun, to get them at the airport. We had been moved from the Amadeus Guest Lodge to the Vic Falls Rest Camp at the last moment, and were told it was equal quality - not true. The Rest Camp was like a prison camp, bleak rooms, towel rental $2US each extra. And they had no food; breakfast was one rasher of bacon and chips. Fortunately our trip leader got us switched back to Amadeus at the end of the trip, a huge improvement, nice rooms, plenty food, swimming pool. Zimbabwe economy is awful unless you're a rich visitor - little food in the shops and huge prices for the locals. Botswana and Namibia were great, nice places to stay, lots of activity on game drives, many animals. Now doing a log of the trip.
