I am planning on doing the Road to Kathmandu trip.I have heard that there are heavy rains in some months. Is it still okay to travel in August or would you recommend to travel in September?These are my two months that I can travel. I don't want to travel all the way there to get my trip ruined by heavy rain. Thanks Georgina

Hi Georgina,
Due to its size and varied topography, India experiences great extremes of climate. It is quite difficult to say when the best time to travel to India is, though generally, October to March tend to be the most pleasant with regards to the whole country!
As you will be travelling in the Northern sector of India, March to August seem to be the best as far as pleasant weather go. Not too wet, hot or cold!
