Re: the Holy Ganges & Himalayan Kingdoms tour - brochure says "walking" for activity. I can walk forever on level ground - but a lot of elevation bothers a knee that I injured skiing years ago. How much elevation is required for the walking in Sikkim and Bhutan? And would a walking stick alleviate any potential problems?

Also any comments on this particular tour?

Re: Bhutan

Hi Jackie,

The walking on this tour is not overly strenuous but there are bits that are uphill (it is the Himalayas) and you might find a fair bit of strain on your knee although for reletively short periods.

I'm not sure a stick would fully aleviate any problems you might find, If you're in any doubt at all have a word with your GP or Physio.

This is a really varied tour, where else would you be able to see North India, Nepal AND Bhutan in just 3 weeks?
