China - Earthquake

I understand that the priority at the moment is dealing with the unfortunate people affected by the earthquake and searching for survivors and don't expect a reply to this message for a while.

I note that the FCO has now advised against travel to the area affected by the earthquake (understandably) but I was wondering what the company's policy is on this?

I am due to head out on the China Explored trip on the 14 June which I gather goes to the area.

Thanks

P.S. Anyone else heading out on the trip?

Hello BaldockBabe,

Thank you for your post. Over the last couple of days we have been gathering information about how the earthquake in China will affect our tours, and from today will be starting to contact anyone booked on the following trips:

China Explored 15th May
China Explored 15th June
Journey Across China 23rd June
Sichuan Explorer 1st June
Yangtse & the Southwest 15th June
Giant Panda Discovery 15th June

We will be letting people know what changes are being made to these tours, either directly or via their travel agent.

For departures beyond this date we are not yet able to make an informed decision, however will advise any travellers as soon as we can.

As you are on the June departure of China Explored we will be in contact with you over the next day or two.

Many thanks for your post.
