Hi, Could anybody who has been on this trip or has any knowledge of the trip let me know if I would need to take walking boots? We'll be going on 15th May 2006.

Cheers [Smile]

Re: China Explored

Hello Bazza,

Thanks for your post.

Whilst we have not graded this tour in terms of treking intensity, the tour includes extensive walking at the sights, featuring some on the Great Wall. So I advise some solid footwear, whether this be hiking boots or sturdy shoes.

I hope this helps.

All the best,

Robert

Re: China Explored

With the exception of the hike on the Great Wall, hiking boots are not necessary. This hike travells through some fairly hilly terrain ( so you would not want heavy boots. The surface is fairly rough/uneven so footwear with ankle support would be useful.
