Hello
I am looking at traveling to China next year. What are the main differences between the above tours? (I have travelled to China before- I work in a school where we have a link with a school in China).
I would love to see more of this country & have only been to Beijing & Dalian where our link school is.
I would welcome any information from anyone who has done either of these trips.

Re: China Explored V China Discovery
I did China Explored in Sep 03.
From what I can see, they are both Adventurer Tours so the accomm would be similar.As well, they basically go to the same places except that Explored goes to Luoyang ( for the Longmen Caves and the White Horse Pagoda)and Discovery goes to Wuhan for the rice terraces.Explored does 1 extra night journey on sleeper train.They do, of course ,travel in opposite directions.
What swung me was that Explored started in Beijing, and i could spend extra time in Beijing going to some of the other sites that the tour doesn't visit. I've found that after a tour reaches its destination, I like to get going, either home or somewhere completely different.
I think you would be happy with either.
