Hi

Is anyone going on the Base Camp Everest trek? I'm travelling solo and getting nervous! Would be great to get some advice from people that have already done the trip or are planning on going

Just got back from doing the classic everest base camp trip.

All I can say is do it, it was one of the best trip I have done. You walk around a corner and say wow this is the best view I have ever seen and then walk around the next corner and say the exact same thing, this goes on for two weeks.

The local guide is fantastic and so are the support staff.

We had no problems in Kathmandu or on the trail. The people are all very friendly, I heard of only one group of people who ran into Moaists and that was at a much lower altitude than this trip.

I am already thinking of returning next year to do another trek in Nepal.

Go and have a great time and see some of the most spectacular views.
