Hi, my husband and I are interested in this tour but noticed on the second day there is a camel ride..It may sound silly, but I am terrified of riding animals..How long of a camel ride is this and is there anyway out of it without looking like a coward? Because other than that, the tour is just what we are looking for..Thanks. [Confused]

Hi Tracy,

Thanks for your post.

The camel ride on day 3 of the tour lasts approximately 2 hours. If this was an issue at the time, you would be more than welcome to walk alongside the camels, and your tour leader could assist.

For more information about all of our tours, click on the link below and download the country or trip dossier from the list:

I hope that this helps.

Hi, thanks..I once road a camel in Morocco, but it was very slow and was not a problem (it was also led by someone)...If this was the case, I could handle it...But it looks as though I can make up my mind when we get there!! I really would like to do it though...

Hi Tracy

Your camel would be led by a camel handler, who will make sure that it doesn't go too fast.

I hope that this helps - have a great time!

Thanks, we have not yet booked, just doing a little more research..What kind of luggage do you suggest on this tour?.(we recently just purchased a 6 peice Swiss Army set on wheels)There is a variety of sizes...Would this type of luggage be suitable?? Is each person allowed 1 suitcase plus a carry on?

A few years ago we took the Nile Safari with Imaginative Traveller and looking forward to travelling with you again!! [Big Grin]

Re: Delhi to Kathmandu

Hi Tracy

We'd recommend some type of soft luggage, rather than suitcases, as it's generally a lot easier to carry and store than other types of luggage. Wheeled luggage is fine for many countries, but India may be less kind to it!

I hope that this helps.
