Hello, if anyone has recently been on the Deserts Forts and Palaces tour to India and you have any tips I'd love to hear from you.

For example, are dressy clothes necessary?

I am booked on the January 9 tour. Anyone else out there also on this tour??

Re: Deserts Forts and Palaces

Hey Budge

In January it can get a bit cold at night. Not freezing but a good fleece will come in handy.

The palaces you will be staying in usually put on a typical Maharaja's dinner in the evenings very "days of the Raj" style so you might want to take something smart. You don't need a tux or ballgown - too much to carry. The great thing about India is you will not look out of place in a tee shirt or a shirt and tie. If you like getting dressed up for the occasion why not get a traditional pajama kurta made in Jaisalmere?

Lovely trip
enjoy
