My girlfriend and I really want to do the Beijing to Kathmandu trip but are having problems getting to/from both places due to restrictions with our OneWorld Explorer ticket. We can get to places like Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul etc. We're just wondering whether it would be expensive to fly from one of the above to Beijing? Or has anyone figured out how to make this work with the OneWorld ticket?
Thanks,
Paddy

Re: Flights into China
Hi Paddy,
I have checked this with our flight department and they recommend that you call one of the airlines involved in the OneWorld alliance to ask their advice. They should be able to advise you of the best and cheapest way to use your ticket to get to Beijing and out of Kathmandu.
However, for your information, it is unfortunately quite expensive to fly from any of the places that you mentioned into Beijing. Hong Kong would probably be the cheapest of the three but it would be best to go to a travel agent for their exact fares.
If you are in the UK please feel free to phone our reservations team - they would be able to provide you with advice if booking a tour in conjunction with your flight. Their number is 01473 667 337. If you are overseas we have a network of agencies who you could contact for advice (see the 'world agents' tab on the home page for details).
