Dear Imtrav,

I've just started reading about the flooding China is experiencing now. More is apparently expected during the summer. How will this affect your tours to China? (I'm booked on Journey Across China, 12 August.)

Thanks.

Re: Flooding in China

Dear Traveller,

there has been a considerable amount of rain in the past few days all over China causing a lot of flooding in many areas. Fortunately, there has been very minimal disruption to our tours here. The only disruption is caused by a collapsed railway bridge near Xian. The local authorities have redirected some trains over another bridge. The rest of the trains are stopping on one side of the bridge and the passengers are being transport by coach across a road bridge and board their train or carry on into Xian on the coach. The delay is very minimal and the tours continue as normal.
