I'm really interested in becoming a tour guide in India (one day). I just wondered if anyone has any info on how to go about it? What qualifications and experience do I need? Where do I study to learn about it?
I'm going to India next year to do some travelling, I'm particularly interested in Vrindavan and the river Yamuna. If anyone has any interesting stuff about any of these topics please e-mail me at:

Re: India
Hi.
I am concidering doing the Nepal Panorama tour in Jan.2001 .Anyone else that may be going as well or has been at this time of the year. I would have prefered to go in Nov.2000 but due to work commitments was unable to do so. I am a bit unsure as to the weather conditions at this time of the year and would be grateful of any information that you can give.Hope to meet some fellow travellers on line before we head off.
Re: India
Hi Louisa,
If you are interested in working as a tour leader, you could download some information from our home page about the job and how to go about applying. Generally, being a good tour leader or guide is more about the kind of person that you are rather than the qualifications that you have. Having said that, any kind of travel qualification and experience will always be useful. Good Luck!
