I will be travelling on the Yangtse and the South-West trip. I was wondering if I should be taking along my laptop? It's becoming harder and harder to do without this instrument for information retrieval. In general will the hotels we'll be staying at provide access for my laptop?
Thank you,
Kathryn John

Dear Kathryn,

Thank you for posting on the forums!

I have checked about laptop access with our Destination Manager over in China and have found out that most hotels in China do have either wireless in the room or a cable, some of them free and some you have to pay either by the day or by the hour.

So, the answer is yes it will be possible for you to use your laptop most places. There are also a lot of cafes and bars (Starbucks) who have wireless connection.

Many thanks,
Kelly
