hi, has anyone done the Mongolia wilderness trip and if so would you recommend it? I am thinking of going next June (departure date 29th May), which i realise is a long way off, but am considering a few options and would appreciate any feedback on this trip
) Anyone know how cold is is likely to get at night? (from point of view of type of clothing needed- i'll be in Mongolia as part of a bigger trip, for which i don't think i'll need that much cold weather clothing...)Thanks!

Re: Mongolia Wilderness trip
Hi Brendan,
Thanks for the info - i'm not too fazed by the idea of a hardgoing trip, i imagine that's part of what makes the experience, just wanted to check what to bear in mind when thinking of things i would need to take with me (no point making it even harder going for myself!) Out of interest, from your experience how early on do the mongolia trips tend to get booked up?
Re: Mongolia Wilderness trip
Hi Ruth!
I took the Mongolia Wilderness trip in 2002 and enjoyed it all the way. Only in northern parts of the tour in lake Khovsgol area the nights were a bit chilly, but even our group members from warmer countries than Finland where I come from did OK with a warm fleece jacket and normal sleeping bag.
If you noticed somebody asked earlier on car sickness on Mongolian "roads" in this forum as well. Although I suffer easily car sickness here on high-speeding-smooth-curving roads and was carrying loads of medica with me I needed none!! The bumpy rides were so out of the ordinary that I probably didn't have time to.
Have a great trip and if you want to ask anything more post me a note!
