Has anyone out there done the scenic plane trip out to the Mt.Everest area. I hear it costs about US$100 - is this correct? Is it easy to book the flight and is it worth going on? I arrive in Kathmandu on 10th October this year.

Hi Stan,

I was Nepal mid October 2 years ago and did the Mt Everest flight with my mum. It was a really overcast day in Kathmandu and before the flight took off we were a little disappointed as we thought we would have limited views. How wrong we were. Once the plane got above the cloudbank we saw the most amazing sight
