I'm going to Nepal on March 17 2006 and have booked to have vaccinations next week.

What would you advise as the main vaccinations to cover for the trek I am going on? From the literature I have read it is advised to be immunised against Hepatitis A, Typhoid and perhaps Polio.

Also, I am aiming to get my visa application sent by the end of this month. Is that round about the right time?

Thanks

Nehal

Thanks Robert.

I really can't wait to go!

Is it possible you can find out how many people are currently on the same trek. Be good to get an idea of th group size that will be travelling.

Hey Nehal,

At the moment there are 17 Travellers, including yourself, on this tour. There is a wide range of age and a rich mix of different nationalities culminating in what looks like a great group. Wish I was coming along!

Have an incredible tour Nehal and all on the 18th March Annapurna Sanctuary!

Kind Regards,

Robert

Re: Nepal Vaccinations and Visa

Hi Nehal! I'm also on the Annapurna Sanctuary on March the 18th. I'm very excited to see that this will be a group with a lot of different people (age and nationality). Hopefully the situation in Nepal is normal again at that time. When will it be certain our trip won't be cancelled (I ask Robert..)? That would be very disappointing, but of course safety goes first!

Hi Annemiek! Great to hear from you. Yeh I will be gutted if we can't go, but I'm keeping fingers crossed it will be ok after the elections. The night curfews have been lifted, its something i guess.

According to Rob's post, end of this week we should know.

Have you been Annapurna before?

Re: Nepal Vaccinations and Visa

Hello everyone,

Thanks for your posts.

With regards to the refunding of money, it very much depends on the policy drawn up at the time for those departures affected.

At the moment, all clients travelling to Nepal on departures up until the 8th February have been contacted and offered a refund of the land arrangements.

Please note that some airlines may impose normal cancellation fees, but we will do all we can to assist those who have booked their flights through us, as will agents were involved.

We are expecting an update on the situation today and so I will keep you all posted.

I hope this helps and please do not hesitate in contacting me should you require further assistance.

Kind Regards,

Robert`
