Hello,
I'm going on this tour in January on my own and would love to make contact with others before arriving in Delhi. As the countdown begins I'm getting more excited- I can't wait for the adventure to begin.
If anyone has been on this tour before and has advice re footwear- are sandals/trainers/thongs enough? then I'd be most appreciative.
Also, I'm a bit daunted about coming by myself. Anybody else done this? Has it been ok or did the group cannibalise you for arriving solo!
Thanks guys,
Jacky

Re: North Indian higlights- January 2005
Hi, just got back from this tour about a month ago..I wore my birkenstocks the whole entire trip. Also took a good pair of walking shoes but only wore them once I think..
About half of the people on our tour came solo..No problems..It is a great way to meet new people..We had a great time.
I honestly could do this tour again. It is amazing. You really get to see and do a variety of things. The days are long and the roads are bumpy..But i couldn't have better memories..Anything else you would like to know, would be pleased to answer.
We are seriously thinking about taking another tour to India next year..Maybe the South..
Have a great time, and don't forget to watch for the cow poop!! It is everywhere.

Hi Jacky,
I don't know about the tour you are on specifically, but I went to China with ImTrav a couple of years ago (about to go to india and nepal) and about two thirds of the people were on their own.
Worked fine most of the time, with people forming similar interest groups and visiting various temples, museums etc along the way, and then all having a good chin wag later on.
I'm looking forward to doing it again.
