Hi there,
Am going to Sri Lanka and was just wondering what plug sockets they have out there. Every book or website seems to say something different although a number have mentioned 3-pin round plugs. As these don't come as part of a standard travel adaptor, any ideas where you can get an appropriate adaptor? I don't want to get there and not be able to recharge my camera :-)
Cheers!

Re: Plug sockets in Sri Lanka
Hi Lilywhite,
Sri Lanka uses 220V 50Hz power and they use two plug types which are plugs 350 and 400.
350 is used in Hong Kong and India and has three equal sized round pins in a triangle formation and the 400 plug has two equal sized round pins as used in European plugs.
Here is a web site that I often use to make sure I am covered. I've done India, Nepal, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Egypt, Jordan and Dubai and it hasn't been wrong yet!! Mind you some of the wall sockets in the hotels and guest houses have been pretty dodgy!!

Hope this is of use.
