Hi,
We are going on the Rajasthan Safari Tour in early January. I am wondering if anyone else has been on this tour recently, if so, do you have any tips, or suggestions. Any feedback on the trip would be great. As well, any suggestions in regards to packing and clothes? Thanks.
Pam

Re: Rajasthan Safari
Hi Pamjac
That is a wonderful trip you are booked on.
As for packing I would suggest a good sun hat for the camel safari something warm for the chilly January desert nights and -if you want- something dressy for the Maharajah's dinners. Or some people buy a nice shalwa kameesh when they are in India or some people just wear jeans and tee shirt. Up to you really, it's posh but not pretentious.
Hope thaty helps

Re: Rajasthan Safari
Thanks Mitnak for your thoughts about this tour.
Do you have any information or suggestions about whether anti-maleria medication is needed for this tour? I know that health officials over here are saying anyone going to any parts of India should take anti-maleria meds before going. However, I keep hearing about side effects and the strength of the medication. As well I understand that the risk of maleria is not as high in some parts of the country nor during certain times of the year. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.
