My husband and I travelled with Imaginative Traveller last September: JEWELS OF THE NILE, and we liked it a great deal. For our next trip next September we are thinking of going to Nepal and Tibet: ROOF OF THE WORLD. Is there anybody who did it in the past and could give us their impressions about it? Is the hotel in Kathmandu located in Thamel? Is the altitude a concern for your health in general? Is there too many hours in the bus?
Thank you very much for all of your answers.

Tibet - Roof of the World
Hello AliBaba
Thank you for your post, it's nice to here that you had a good time on our Jewels of the Nile tour!
The hotel that we use in Kathmandu is located in Lazimpat which is next to Thamel. The bus journeys can be a little tough due to the high altitudes and thin air but at the same time you are rewarded with spectacular scenery. Journey times are 3-5 hours approx. It's not a trekking tour but a good level of fitness is still required.
I hope this helps
Best wishes
David
