I am going to India in November 'The Road to Katmandu' can any one of you ladies out there suggest what kind of footwear they took?

Re: Shoes!!!!

I came on with the intention of asking exactly the same question! Most people have told me that a pair of flip flops and a pair of comfortable trainers (or hiking boots if your tour involves a lot of walking) are all the you will need!

Re: Shoes!!!!

Hello all,

A good pair of sturdy sandals are the key with a sturdy pair of trainers or walking boots depending on the tour itinerary.

Re: Shoes!!!!

Yep, flip-flops/sandals and a good pair of trainers or walking boots/shoes will suffice.

By the way, you can buy great sandals in India (albeit you can't be sure they'll be comfortable so make sure to bring worn-in sandals with you!). There are lots of pretty, beaded shoes & sandals around for about 200R!
