Hi there. I am interested in going on the South Indian Adventurer in June or August - has anyone been on this? The itinerary looks great, but being a newbie to these kind of tours I have a few questions:
I am vegetarian, is that likely to be a problem? (I have been told that most food in S India is vegetarian-based, is this true?).
I have also been told that the wet season starts around June/July - but what is "wet"? Are we talking constant monsoon for the entire trip or just the likelihood of getting frequent soakings in between fairly decent weather? Is the weather likely to cause a major problem with the trip/itinerary at this time of year?
The tour starts in Trivandrum and ends in Goa - how do people generally get back to Trivandrum to get a flight home? Train? Fly? Fly home from Goa? AS you can tell I have no idea how far Triv. is from Goa.
Do people generally book flights to arrive/leave a day either side of the tour dates, or arrive/leave on the same day?
What vaccinations are needed for India (coming from UK)? Is malaria a problem? (I'm thinking yes in the wet).
Thanks in advance for any advice/answers!
