Was really interested in doing the Mongolian 21 day wilderness adventure, but the tour starts on a Sun. As I am coming from Bejing, it will mean that I will have to get the train a whole week in advance (trains leave Bejing once a week on Sats from May). This is too much time, especially as we pay for 'free' days in UB at the start and end of trip. Maybe I have the train dates wrong, but any advice on how to get to UB overland from Bejing 2 days b4 trip start will be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Trains to Ulan Bator
Dear MishMash,
I am glad that you are keen to do a trip with The Imaginative Traveller in Mongolia. This is a truly spectacular country.
The train timetable for trains departing from Beijing to UB will change from mid May. There will be two trains each week. One departing on Wednesdays and the other departing on Saturdays.
Both trains arrive the following day, so you could arrive on either Thursday or Sunday.
I hope this is helpful
