The Foreign Office are continuing to advise against travel to India at this time.
Further to our previous statement, The Imaginative Traveller has now cancelled all tours departing up until the 28th September, with immediate effect.
Clients affected by these tour cancellations have been contacted and offered the choice of transferring their booking to an Imaginative Traveller tour in another destination, or deferring their travel to India until a later date, or cancelling their booking completely and receiving a refund (less any unrecoverable costs already incurred). Refunds cannot be made for Travel Insurance.
If we (or your travel agent) have not already contacted you we will do so within the next few days.
We will obviously continue to keep a close eye on the situation and will keep you updated accordingly.
In the meantime, if you are booked to travel to India with The Imaginative Traveller at any time from September 28th 2002 onwards and are concerned about possible dangers we will be pleased to help you transfer your booking to a trip in one of our other destinations or to postpone your trip to a later date.
