I'm thinking of doing the china explored tour in May 2002. What sort of weather should I expect? do you need to bring your own sleeping bag?I would also like to hear of others experiences on this tour. Thanks
Robyn

Re: weather

Hi Robyn,

Firstly I should apologise for the long delay in replying to your question!

China experiences great diversity in climate as it is spread over such a vast area. We do not operate our tours to China during the winter months.

If you are considering China for May, then this is a good time to travel.

Spring and Autumn are considered to be the best times to travel though in May it should be warming up nicely...Around the mid 20's Celcius. Nights can still be very cold however! You should also expect rain.

For the China Explored tour, you won't need to bring a sleeping bag as you will be accommodated in guest houses & hotels etc..
You may however want to bring a sleep sheet for the train. These are provided, though they may not always be as clean as would like them to be!..Thats up to you really.

I hope this helps you a little, and once again I offer my apologies for the delay.
