we are off on this trip next april and are trying to work out what luggage to take.
is it feasable to take rucksacks with wheels as theyseem like a good idea. But I am not sure about the surfaces with the wheels. Has anyone any views.

Re: yangtse and south west luggage
Hi I did this trip last year and took my rucksack with wheels on. There were no problems using it at all I only had to carry it once or twice and it was easy enough to pull. It was one of the best things I've ever bought for travelling.
This is such a great trip you'll have a fantastic time.

Re: yangtse and south west luggage
Hello jo d,
I think that the soft rucksack type luggage with wheels is ideal!
I would avoid anything that is not soft sided as they can be a pain to store on trains and boats.
Hope that this helps
