We are a family of 3 going on the Fabulous Thailand tour on the 2nd August 2009.

Hi,
We're not on your tour but did it 2 years ago and had an AMAZING time....the hilltribe village was a higlight as was the floating rafts on the river kwai.
Doi Suthep temple in Chiang Mai is worth a visit. There's also a laundry right across the road from the hotel in Chiang Mai (if it is still the Chiang Mai gate) which is very handy.
There's a tailors there too and some friends on the tour had some suits and shirts made there and they were very pleased. I had my tailoring done later in Thailand and highly recommended.
