Hi has anyone done this holiday and is anyone going at the same time as im going by myself and would like to meet people before we go, i am going on the 3rd jan 2010 many thanks paul

My wife and I did this trip a couple of years ago, great trip but you will certainly notice the altitude. My wife really found the diamox prescribed by our GP to be very helpful!
The early morning arrival at Machu Pichu is really special and to have the place to yourself, with the other 200 trekkers, before the first tourist bus arrives makes all the effort of the trek worthwhile.
