Hey, i am going on the singaore - Bangkok in May but am leaving next week to travel to other countries. I just wanted some on advice on whether i would need to take malaria pills for this tour the other countries i am visiting i dont need them. I know that for parts of Thailand and malaysia you do but im not sure thanks! x

Thanks for your question.

Unfortunately this is not something that the Imaginative Traveller can help you with. The best thing to do is to arrange to speak with a medical expert at your local health centre or a travel clinic.

Take a copy of your trip dossier with you to show the person you speak to. The advice that you receive from them will be the best advice available. There are mixed opinions on the prevalence of malaria, even amongst the medical field, which often leads to some travellers taking anti-malaria precautions and some not but my advice is to stick to what your doctor/local nurse tells you to do.
