thanks for the reply, we are looking at booking balloon ride in serengeti national park and were quoted a price by our travel agent which is with a different company but significantly cheaper than the price you quote (note this price is different to the info you provided in the country dossier 450US dollars(290 euro) vs 378 euro) we are just wondering if we book with the different company for day 4 when it is scheduled with your trip will this fit in with the rest of our trip

Hi,

Its fine to book the balloon ride with another company but please remember that eventhough you are in the Serengeti for days 3-5 then things will be planned for these days so you may miss out on some of the tours/drives on the day you have the balloon ride booked.

If you do book the balloon ride then please let us know so that we can add a note onto your booking to make our local office aware that you have this planned.

thaks for the reply, we would like to do the balloon ride, just wondering if you could give us an idea of what the itinerary is for day 4 morning, we can then make a more informed decision and we can let you know. from what we have been told this is when people from our trip will be doing the balloon ride

Hi,

My colleague who deals with our tours in Africa has made some enquiries for you with regards to your question and she had got back to me with the following;

What happens is that on the day of the balloon safari, the rest of the group will have a morning game drive. Depending on timings, the balloon company may be able to arrange a meeting point in the Serengeti with the tour leader and the clients can therefore join the rest of the group for the game drive. If the timings do not coincide then the paxs will be returned to the lodge/camp after the balloon ride, where they will rejoin the group when the rest of them return at lunch time.

Our operations team have said that if you could provide the amount that you would be paying for the balloon ride and the company you are booking it with then they may be able to see what we could offer with regards to our balloon rides so that you don't have to book it with an alternative company.
