Hi all,
13 weeks and counting!
Okay, so it's a little while before this trip but if you're booked on it, maybe it would be nice to get in touch beforehand?
Look forward to getting to know you (either here or in Sri Lanka!) :-)

Hi Tanya
We did this trip a couple of years ago and are sure that you will love it. Hope you enjoy curry and rice, you will have a lot of it, and temple visits too.
We had a great local tour leader who added some really interesting extras to the itinerary and a smashing driver and "coach boy" too, nothing was too much trouble.
Beautiful country and lovely people.
Feel free to ask any questions.

Dave,
It sounds fantastic - I can't wait! Yes, we love curry and rice - went to India for 3 weeks last year and spent the 6 months afterwards eating curry as we had become addicted!
I'm really looking forward to the temple visits - we haven't really seen much of Buddhism so it should be really interesting.
It's good to know how well you were treated and the interesting extras sound fascinating - I hope we get some of the same!
One question off the top of my head is about the open-air camping - whereabouts do we camp and what is the set up?
The only other thing I can think of right is is there anything you would recommend we take/don't take for the trip that is not necessarily on the Imag Trav list.
Thanks for the info - all excited again now. 9 weeks today!

Hi, just back from our trip to Indonesia which was great.
I recall that the camping was not in the place suggested by the trip notes but it was a nice little secluded spot near to a small river and an area of crops which were about to be harvested. The reasonably large 2 man tents were already erected and the compound was surrounded by oil lamps which were lit at night, presumably to dissuade animals from straying too near the tents. We had a nice meal and camp fire in the evening and an open air shower in the morning (easier than using the limited facilities in the adjacent building).
You will need "temple dress" available whenever you visit these sites, something to cover shoulders and knees basically but I am sure your tour leader will explain this.
Hope you have a great trip.

Hi,
Glad you had a good time in Indonesia - it's one of the places on our list to get to at some point.
Thanks for the info on the camping - it sounds really cool and has put my mind at rest - I was a little unsure of the set-up so it's good to hear first hand experiences.
Cheers for the tips on 'temple dress' - most of what I'm planning to take is appropriate for temples but it's good to be reminded.
Thank again for althe information.
