This is always an extremely difficult question for one person to answer. Whatever you say is always too much or too little.

I would appreciate it if other forumers (as I am now calling you) could come in on this and give some opinions on how much they thought was a reasonable ammount to budget per day for Egypt. We can then work out some kind of average figure!!

My opinion is that you should always take more than you think you'll need, if you need more it's there for you if you don't end up needing it you'll have money for more presents/souveniers and duty free vodka. If there's anything left after that you can change it back when you return.

If you really get stuck there are ATM services in Cairo and other large cities.
