Is it reasonable to bring our 5 year old daughter to Egypt on a guided tour? I visited the country 25 years ago on my own, but have not been since.

Re: 5 year old in Egypt
Hi Jolie,
The Imaginative Traveller would not accept a booking for a child that young. We feel that as an Adventure tour operator we could not be responsible for somebody under an accepted age of responsibility.
If it's reasonable to take a 5 year old to Egypt is something that I'll want our forum readers to chip in on. I don't personally have experience of taking children of any age abroad. I really would like to hear from the Mums and Dads who've taken their young children to adventurous destinations....

Re: 5 year old in Egypt
I took my two children, ages 10 & 6 to Nepal over Christmas and we trekked in the Annapurna Conservation Area. We went with an adventure tour company that specialized in family adventure travel and had a wonderful time. When you have children involved, you need to plan a little more down time in your itinerary in order to keep everyone happy! I would highly recommend travelling with your child, its a wonderful experience!
By the way, I did the Nile and Beyond tour with Imaginative in February 2000. Had a great time, but its best for adults!
