We arrive in Egypt tommorrow and are supposed to have transfers to hotel, can anyione tell me whether the Imag - Traveller transport staff is before the visa application/ passport or in the arrivals hall as I have conflicting information.
Thanks

Re: Airport Pick up
Hi David,
Thanks for your post.
The transfer reps in Egypt will normally wait for travellers BEFORE they go through passport control. There is a sloped walkway as you arrive into the area to queue for passport control, and the rep will be waiting on the side of that walkway with an "Imaginative Traveller" red and white sign. I'm sure you will spot him with no problems!
Have an excellent trip!
Re: Airport Pick up
Thanks Kelly, will do another question though, should I be taking US$ or will Egyptian currency be all we need for the trip, and is the advice teh same for Jordan.
Thanks
David
Re: Airport Pick up
Hi again David,
It's best to have Egyptian currency for the trip, but it can sometimes be hard to get hold of before departure so lots of people change it at the airport if they can't get it in advance.
The same applies for Jordan - you can take USD with you, but you'll need to change it to Jordanian Dinar once you are there.
Please bear in mind that if you haven't got your Egyptian visa in advance (as we recommend) that it must be paid for in USD or GBP - NOT Egyptian currency.
I hope this helps!
Re: Airport Pick up
Thanks again, already have our visas. will take an emergency stash of hard currency, but will get some Egyptian & Jordanian as spensing money
