Hi there Bayda,
Don't worry about doing the trip on your own - you will soon meet lots of new friends on the tour and your tour leader will be able to give you lots of useful hints on what to do, where to go, how to get there and so on.
I travelled extensively through the Middle East on my own a few years ago and had the most wonderful time - the locals were really friendly and went out of their way to be welcoming. I felt incredibly safe there and would not hesitate in recommending other people to go.
