I'm doing the Nile & Beyond starting Oct 13.

Can anybody comment on access to ATM's. Not just in Cairo, but elsewhere. Are we likely to find ATM's in any other major centers?

Looks like we are going to explore Egypt in the same group...I am also in the Nile and Beyond on October 13 (actually doing the combo trip..Beyond the Pyramids).

I am pretty excited...can't wait...before we know it we will be there.

Hi Frank

We did the Nile Valley and Red Sea tour last year. Before we left Australia, I put most of our money onto our visa card and then just made cash withdrawals in local currency when needed. I found ATM's were wide spread and never had a problem in Cairo, Aswan, Luxor or Hurghada. It certainly saved carrying alot of cash or travellers cheques.
