I am planning on doing the pharaoh's tracks tour at the end of the year and hope to have a few days in Egypt both before and after. Does anyone know if the valley of the golden mummies at Bahariya Oasis can be visited by tourists? and if so, how does one go about it?
Cheers

Re: Bahariya Oasis - Valley of the golden mummies
Hi Wayne
Great to hear that you are coming over to Egypt, I wish you will have the best time ever !
The Valley of the Golden Mummies is still closed for visitors. You can visit the Bahariya Museum in Baharyia town center where you will have a chance to see three Mummuies inside. The entrance fees for the Museum is 30 L.E and that also includes visiting the Temple of Alexander and the Mastaba but you will need a Jeep to get to these two sites. Jeeps can be hired locally in Bahariya.
If you want to go to Bahariya , you can take a local bus from El Torgomman bus station in Cairo. The bus ticket is about 30 L.E and takes about 4 hours.
Enjoy your tour !
