I just wanted to warn people who will be sailing down the Nile on a cruise boat as part of their tour, to be very careful when buying jewellery from the on-board shop. On my tour we were warned about buying jewellery in the markets but I assumed buying on the boat would be reputable. Unfortunately this is not always the case as I purchased a ring that was meant to be white gold, however within a week it turned black. Another person on my tour bought a necklace that didn't have a clasp. Since they did not provide any receipt I am unable to gain any compensation but wanted to warn future travellers. Unfortunately this one incident was the only thing that put a dampner on an otherwise amazing trip.
