I am travelling alone and wondering how many people have signed up for this trip. I am planning to get all Egyptian pounds in ATM machines there (I couldn't get any locally). Do I need to bring US dollars or credit card for the trip? Does the tour leader or attraction places take anything other than Egyptian pounds?
Thanks!

Re: Beyond the Pyramid on Oct 19th

Hi traveljjh,

Thanks for your post. I can tell you that there are 15 people in your group.

Regarding your question about taking money, we wouldn't really recommend that you rely on ATMs as your only source of cash. We recommend that you take a mixture of cash and Travellers Cheques, which can then be changed when you arrive (you can change money at the airport, or your tour leader can advise you where to go).

There will be ATMs in some of the places on the tour, however as we cannot guarantee that they will be working so it's best if you can take with you most of the money you think you will need on the tour. It's a good idea to take your credit card as a back-up.

I hope this helps - have a great trip!
