hey anyone going on this tour on april 11th. just hoping to make some early contact so we will be better aquianted before we arrive.

I did this tour this past Christmas and had the best time of my life. Of course my group and leader contributed significantly. I was nervous going on this tour by myself from the US, but it was the best decision I've ever made.

Be open-minded. Don't buy papayrus at the institute-you can get way cheaper real ones later. Watch out for the food, especially uncooked items. ONLY drink bottled water. Bring lots and lots of film and pens. Pens are sometimes as good as money when it comes to tips/bargaining-especially in upper Egypt. Never go anywhere without water, sunblock, toilet paper, loads of small bills and flashlight.
